Life-flow-er

It's approaching four A.M. here. I've been out, watering the garden.

Generally realizing...

I LIKE SOLITUDE.

Sitting, on haunches, amongst the sunflowers and the okra.
Looking at tomato 'bushes' (vines that have been trained upward...) that approach five feet in diameter, and easily four feet 'tall'.

Training the winter squash vines to utilize unused sunshine-space.

Thumping the watermelon, still intent on adding flesh.

Coaxing the cucumbers to beat winter frost...

I like this idea of having a splot (spot ant plot, combinatively...) of land, and the time to work it.

I enjoy having no Thing and no One Else to answer to; no timeline (save weather/season-related); no task or chore save the leaves, the drip of water, the scent of humus...

I see the attraction, as an abode, to the faerie, and for the Gnomes... for, what a beautiful spot to live; what beauty to be charge of...

I like, in short, the ALONE. The Contemplative Time. The peace, the quiet, the uninterrupted... the SOLITUDE.

I'll come in and join you in bed soon, love,

Right now I need some star time...

Slainte...

Sir, I sooooooooo understand this...and this complete and total bliss of solitude. Early morning is also my time 4:30 - 6:00 my finest hour and a half...

I can understand the alone time. It is something we all need every now and then.

But to be able to have that time in such a tranquil setting such as your garden under the stars...breathtaking

Lady Rene--

simple Peace-- not so easy to find these days.

Thanks for the 'tune'; I'll have to go give it an ear now...

Lady Felinae...

There is a deep peace about it--about all three (solitude, garden, and stars...) in conjunction.

Thanks for visiting. I like your new icon, BTW...:D

Everyone should have a place, a space of their own, to decompress in...to create, meditate, breathe, just BE. Humans, even misanthropes, need other humans...but I think we also need our solitude, some more than others.

I'm glad you had a little time (if at the oddest of hours...fitting, that) to nourish your internal self, Sir.

Shade and Sweetwater,

Oh me too! I've always loved to be alone. I'm one of those people that would probably make a good hermit. Really, totally on my own. Well, I'd have to have some critters but I'd be perfectly fine with no other humans around. Not only do I need plenty of alone time to decompress, center and clear out all the emotional cobwebs but I just enjoy being along. It's my natural state.

damn, this echoes in my soul. i too loooove the night, the solitude, the not having to answer to anyone.... but watering at 4am???? no. you'd find me gazing at the stars building dreams instead.

Lady Kydd...

The hour chose itself, but was beautiful for the solitude-- listening to the water-droplets serenade the frogs and locusts and owl and night critters and sounds...

I agree... everyone needs that time alone, that few moments even wherein no interruption needs be feared, where we can let our souls run free, dream the dreams they are wont to follow...

Thanks for the visit, Lady...

Lady Sylvia...

Thank you for the splot praise! ha!

And the uncle's cat has had his 15 minutes! :D [hate to be the Gnome facing this one-- I done heard he can chase a squirrel down half-yard away...]
[But... them Gnomes is quick, too, ain't they?
Anyone got stats?!?]

The Watering and the Dreaming...Kinda the same thing for me...

After the watering was when i hunkered down twixt the tomaters and the okry. The water-droplets was still permeatin' the Earth off the leaf-heated percolation... or, you know, something Clampett-esque! ha!

The dream-building came as i set amongst the vegetation produced by Sun, Earth, Water, and a bit of swan-leavins' of elbow grease and love. [Erm... sorry for the visual, if that so created one, Lady...]

At that time of morn, when I knew no other living soul would disturb the Moment, the Existing therein...

Yeah... I call the garden Eden for a reason...

An absolutely BEAUTIFUL spot to view the moon from, too...

Just saying...

Wow; I got another post here! ha!

Slainte, Lady!

I'm definitely NOT a morning person so tend to water at night . . .

Having lived with a great deal of solitude (often working from the computer at home more often than with people in the flesh) I am now feeling the allure of seeking balance . . . PARTY TIME and solace time at opposite ends of the teeter-totter but neither being the sole focus for very long.
