A Song About Oppression-- And Freedom

[I posted this on both blogs tonight, because I feel it's worth it. Thanks, readers of both, for understanding. C.]

With what I just read over at MAYBERRY's blog, this video came to mind.

Let's not let this become an Orwellian world, folks. I mean, any more so than we already have...

Slainte, folks.

And today, the government is proposing another $1 in cigarette taxes-- PER PACK.
Now, Cinner, I don't even smoke cigarettes. But I'm smart enough to know that when Joe Public can no longer afford them, they'll go underground for them rather than quit. And... I have a green thumb and seed companies on file... I happen to know that many have quit buying the things strictly due to cost-- mostly the homeless friends I know.

My question now is... if no one buys, where are these millions of greenbacks gonna come from now, you taxed J.P. outa being able to pay?

I drink... but soon, I won't. Because it will be cheaper to home-brew.

Just sayin...

Thanks, Cinner, and STAND FAST...

Believe me, I know. Brilliant analysis. In this case... Well, Rock the Cage. Maybe it will open and you'll break free too. Keep on rocking.

I know you do, M'lady Sylvia... I know you do

We'll remain free-- and you will, and they, whomever they be, will as well, because...
Thus-- and this-- is the human spirit.

Some governments never learn...
