Huh...from Marijuana to heroin to cocaine to crack to meth to oxy...I had no idea. I guess I didn't read the memo...gee, and my grandmother always said I had no follow through. I guess she was right.
I wonder how many people die from weight related problems every year...and can we then use those numbers to outlaw fast food and candy, and mandate only foods deemed healthy by a bureau appointed for the purpose may lawfully be consumed?
It's not the substance, people. It's the user.
Laws should not be enacted to protect us from ourselves and the consequences of our choices.
And don't even get me started on alcohol versus smokey comestibles when it comes to ruining lives through abuse of the substance!!
In my homeland there was a group of really old ladies, who liked to share plants between them. In fact they didn't know what they were sharing, they shared because it was different, it was beautiful, it had a good scent... One of them appeared with a Marijuana plant and said ( completely ingenuously) "Oh, it gives such a nice tea!" Soon enough all of them were cultivating and drinking the tea. And they were so enthusiasmed and happy because all their health problems of the old age had just disappeared. It is an amazing true story, and it really gives grounds for thinking!
One of my more recent ancestors had a recipe for soup that included a certain herbal supplament. It was reported to have marvelous curative properties in treating flu.
